Clover Leaf

All my life, I've never been lucky
Lucky draws, I dislike them
I've entered over twenty competitions in my life; give the correct answer and complete the sentence; give the correct answer and tell us why you like this and that; draw something creative and answer the slogan......
I've never won anything, not even consolation
the best game I've ever entered was a crossword puzzle competition by The Star, first prize winner gets a trip to Korea for that week. I was confident that I'd get it cause I got all the answers supposedly correct. And even if I didn't win first, I was hopping for consolation. I didn't win.
Then, photography and editing contests came by. I tried my luck again and failed.
Like Facebook photographs to win, that really put me off. I am not popular and thus will surely never win; gave up before trying

Two years later in December 2012, ABRSM organized a contest with the question; How many Exam pieces are there in the Piano Syllabus? I gave it a go, knowing that only pianists can answer this question (unless someone random puts up the answer online)

When the results was announced, I wasn't aware of the winners until three days later, I checked my email....It says, I’m pleased to inform you that you have won a signed copy of "a book". Congratulations!

Gee, it's truly unexpected. There are only five winners and there could be hundreds of contestants that submitted the correct answer. Thank you so much =)

Now, I am trying to get a spot out of fifteen places to a study trip to Hong Kong end of next year. Retention of students count for points here, not achievements of students. This will be tough, I have dropouts and intakes every month. I will try my best to retain my sixty students. Ganbatte
